Retail Manager – Dior

MAIN PURPOSE

As Retail Manager, you oversee the development of PCD’s Business within your portfolio of doors and you drive your retail teams towards collective and individual success. A true business strategist, you analyse and devise multi-faceted action plans to enable your teams to reach their POS objectives – and develop Boutique and Counter managers into strong performers and team managers. You play an essential role as bridge between HQ stakeholders and the field. You are responsible for all POS to be up and running, delivering on PCD excellence standards both in terms of client experience & operations. You develop and nurture valuable relationships with retailers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

BUSINESS STRATEGY: Define and drive strategy for POS to boost sales and reach objectives

  • Drive and monitor commercial activity in accordance with company defined KPIs
  • Define and adapt the retail strategy per distribution channel (Boutiques, DS Concessions, DS Wholesales) to your network based on performance, targets and local challenges
  • Define retail team targets (collective at POS level and individual for BM/CM) to motivate them and to drive sales and growth in line with brand ambitions
  • Be aware of P&L and accountable for profitability / ROI (simplified P&Ls)
  • Ensure brand image and the 360° execution of launches
  • Monitor and report to management sales thanks to sales dashboards

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Be true “people managers”, enabling teams to achieve collective success & encouraging continuous development of talents

  • Lead, coach & motivate CM & BM (onboard, brand guidelines, share a vision & clear objective, share internal & competitors’ best practices) and help them in case of specific people related topics (e.g. health issues)
  • Develop the skills and capabilities of CM & BM through performance process review & Dior training program follow-up
  • Build a succession plan for long-term growth and development
  • Ensure the recruitment of BM / CM in collaboration with HR, support and/or finalize BC recruitments with HR and BM/CM, and work on retention of the best qualified talents
  • Ensure optimum staffing at all times in line with budgets & business needs
  • Support the review of agenda and calendar of events
  • Ensure the roll-out of HR processes
  • Conduct regular field visits and ensure the development of BCs through regular coaching and appraisals (for POS without CMs)
  • Manage with Retail Director free lancers’ coverage, planning and budget*

CLIENT EXPERIENCE: Guarantee outstanding client experience in all POS

  • Drive, manage and support the usage and implementation of Dior retail digital tools (such as IPOS, Dior Connect)
  • Analyze key client experience indicators (Mystery Shopping, NPS) with Retail Education
  • Identify clientele and client experience opportunities and set up action plans with CRM and Retail management
  • Instate and engage retail teams on clientele through coaching, definition and monitoring of clear clientele targets
  • Ensure appropriate service and product offer assortment
  • Support events organization and validate budget
  • Support BM/CM to drive client relationships (clientele, VVICs)

OPERATIONS: Ensure operational excellence in POS & be the key point of contact between HQ & the field

  • Be the referent for BMs & CMs on the operations of the Boutiques & Department Store and ensure operation compliance and excellence of execution following PCD guidelines (SOP, processes)
  • Ensure efficient communication with HQ (e.g. admin & reporting tasks)
  • Lead POS opening and all related processes
  • Identify, consolidate & report operational needs or issues on POS (VM, POSM, IT, stock, tools etc.) and facilitate their resolution if needed
  • Coordinate with sell in team to ensure efficient order tracking and processing stocks to ensure optimum inventory
  • Support implementation of Retail Operations and productivity tools
  • Share common VM guidelines elaborated from HQ to the field and support local adaptation for launches
  • Supervise and execute the promotional activities formulated by marketing / retail marketing department

RETAILERS: Establish & maintain solid relationships with retailers while identifying new partnership opportunities

  • Create strong relationship with retailers and/or landlords to ensure collaboration on data sharing, team management, goal alignment and preparation of events
  • Identify opportunities and share them with management for them to negotiate with retailers or landlords
  • Develop partnerships with retailers (and/or landlords, neighboring retailers, mall management) within the LVMH Community
  • Acculturate retailers to PCD’s values, vision and ambition

QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCES

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Preferably 5 years sales management experience in a retail environment

  • Exhibit strong management and leadership abilities to lead the team effectively

  • Demonstrate strong aptitude for using digital tools to optimize business processes and customer experience
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with international stakeholders
  • Display exceptional negotiation skills in business dealings
